For the past 30 years I have been a builder based in Bristol. I moved to France with my family and built my own Grand Design house in Hounoux (still not finished). I set up a building business here in the Aude but things changed dramatically on the 10th August 2014 when I suffered a brain stem Cavernoma haemorrhage whilst on a roof. Obviously I survived and have had to relearn many cognitive and physical processes, and I am still learning.
I have always had a keen interest in art and, having done a fine art degree, started using drawing to measure my progress. My starting point was self portraits, holding my right hand with my left to direct it I've made good progress in my rehabilitation and feel that I've made good progress in my art.
